This room bears the name of Eugénie and Henri, who ran the house from 1894 to 1938, from the Belle Époque to the years between the wars. It is to them that La Domerie owes its former name: around 1904, they christened it the "Hôtel Moderne," for it now offered running water and electricity — an extraordinary comfort at the time, at 1,300 metres above sea level, in the heart of the Aubrac. For more than forty years, they made this house a renowned stop on the plateau.
