This room bears the name of Mado and Bernard, Marie-Claude's parents, who ran the house from 1988 to 2003. Bernard was a young schoolteacher when he was sent to teach in Aubrac — "the end of the world," as people called it back then. It was here, on the plateau, that he met Mado, the woman who would become the love of his life. A love story born at the end of the world, and one that never left it. Many years later, they were the ones who passed on to us the keys to La Domerie — and the wish to carry its story forward.
